William Stewart is that he is the only man by that name, or Stewart male whose first name began with the initial "W", to exhibit a work at the Royal Academy Schools in London, and there are indications that W. Stewart did so, as well, evidence of which will be presented later in this work. The painting, called "Beached" was shown there in 1924.
